CPCA Education & Training

Overview

In recent years the College has been working tirelessly to produce the most advanced and comprehensive training programs in cosmetic medicine in Australia. The CPCA’s Registrar Training Program has been specifically developed by cosmetic medical practitioners, for cosmetic medical practice in Australia, and it has been designed to align with The Training Accreditation Council’s Australian Quality Training Framework (AQTF) at Level 8.

The Registrar Training program comprises a Graduate Certificate in Cosmetic Medicine (GCCM) (available for immediate enrolment), and a Graduate Diploma in Cosmetic Medicine (GDCM) (under development).

As a precurser to the Registrar Training Program the CPCA has developed a short online course which can serve as an introduction to cosmetic medicine, or “a sneak peek for those who are exploring their options”. This course, known as Preliminary Essentials in Cosmetic Medicine (PECM), is intended to provide medical practitioners with exposure to the industry, assisting those who may be considering cosmetic medicinal practice for themselves. The Preliminary Essentials course, the Graduate Certificate, and the Graduate Diploma, which have all been developed by the CPCA in partnership with Niche Education Group (RTO provider number 51373), will be outlined in more detail via the links below.

In addition to the above mentioned training programs, the CPCA also offers other short courses, workshops, seminars, and an online conference as described below.

CPCA’s Registrar Training Program

The CPCA’s Registrar Training Program commences with 52900WA Graduate Certificate in Cosmetic Medicine (GCCM), and is delivered through a combination of online theory units, practical training, and assessments as described via the link below. A digital badge will be awarded as acknowledgment of successful completion of each unit throughout the course.

This course has been compiled according to government standards with the assistance of many experienced cosmetic physicians, and represents one of the pathways to CPCA Fellowship.

More information about the Graduate Diploma in Cosmetic Medicine (under development) is available within the CPCA’s Training Program Information Pack.
