Ethical Healthcare

The CPCA is one of more than 70 signatories to the voluntary organisation the Australian Ethical Healthcare Alliance group (AEHA). Information regarding the policies and protocols of the AEHA can be found at https://aeha.org.au
Regular submission of compliance audits are a requirement of associateship of the AEHA. The College contributes and supports the policies and protocols of the AEHA to improve and maintain ethics within all areas of the medical profession.

Special Notes relating to the charter:

Cosmetic medicine is mutually exclusive to cosmetic surgery
It is essential to note that cosmetic medicine and cosmetic surgery are different. Apart from the word ‘cosmetic’, cosmetic medicine and cosmetic surgery are mutually exclusive to one another just as general medicine and general surgery are mutually exclusive to each other, apart from the word ‘general’.
