How to Become a CPCA Full Member
All new members are admitted to the College as Corresponding Members. It is commonplace for members to rise through the membership levels in a stepwise progression.
Once you have been admitted to the CPCA as a Corresponding Member, you will be able to log into the member’s portal and submit an application for an upgrade in membership level. The annual fee for CPCA Full Membership is $2,200.00 per annum, GST Inclusive, payable upon Membership Review Committee (MRC) approval.
To become a Full Member of the CPCA, you will need to demonstrate to the Membership Review Committee that you are a registered medical practitioner with significant experience in cosmetic medicine and a demonstrated competency in a range of cosmetic procedures.
The application process for CPCA Full Membership requires:
- Current Corresponding Membership of the CPCA
- Successful completion of 52900WA Graduate Certificate in Cosmetic Medicine (“Part 1 of the CPCA’s Registrar Training Program”), or
- Recognised prior learning (RPL) that shows core competencies as outlined in the course and standards (RPL is personalised for each applicant), or
- Successful completion of CPCA multiple choice question examinations on cosmetic injectables and energy-based devices.
- Demonstration of competency through supporting documents such as:
- Curriculum vitae
- Certificates of relevant training and education
- Certificates of other applicable memberships
- Details of recent presentations, publications, teachings, or mentorship
- Three cosmetic physicians as referees.
- Completion of “procedures currently performed” questionnaire (included within application form).
- Certificate of current medical indemnity insurance.
- Demonstration of compliance with applicable Medical Board guidelines and policies
As a Full Member of the CPCA, you can:
- Attend a convocation ceremony where you will be awarded a formal Full Membership Certificate and badge.
- Take advantage of the same CPCA Member Benefits as a Corresponding Member plus:
- Utilise the CPCA Full Membership Logo on personal websites and advertising materials.
- Be located by patients on the CPCA Find-a-Doctor webpage.
- Vote at CPCA Annual General Meetings
- Apply to the Membership Review Committee for Fellowship of the CPCA.
