There are a substantial number of medical practitioners who have been performing cosmetic medicine procedures successfully and ethically for a significant period of time and these people may already qualify for Full Membership or Fellowship. Other medical practitioners set on pursuing a career in cosmetic medicine can be sourcing internal and external training options with the aim of gaining recognition of prior learning credits (RPL) in readiness for when the College takes enrolments for its planned Registrar Training Program (RTP), resulting in a Graduate Certificate and Graduate Diploma that will soon equate to Full Membership or Fellowship, respectively. Therefore, in the interim, the College is providing an opportunity for these medical practitioners to undergo one or several examinations and assessments. This will certify the degree of current knowledge and training so far obtained by the practitioner and in doing so, will provide the candidate with an opportunity to display accreditation bestowed upon them by their peers upon a successful examination outcome.
Until the RTP is rolled out, there are three areas in which a practitioner can gain Certificates of Competency and these are listed below. Examinations are available in the following state capital cities: Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne and Adelaide and Perth, with numbers permitting.
If you are interested in undergoing these assessments in an aim to achieve one or more of the below certificates, please email Jessica at cpca@cpca.net.au.
Disclaimer: The College accepts no liability of any acts, procedures, complications, errors or omissions involving procedures, delegated or performed by the candidate subsequent to these examinations by the holder of the Certificate of Competency.
Available in all capital cities – Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth.
